By taking as a starting point the needs of the people who use Nesttun in Bergen, Norway, Kunstsone will be created together with the local population and local industry. We want to link what is locally produced to a new form and function. Kunstsone Nesttun is a local project that can be placed in a larger perspective; in time (present and future), geography (urban, regional and national) and imagination (expansion of the space of opportunity). The Kunstsone is an attitude-creating and diverse interaction that shall contribute to the development of local culture. The installation(s) that will be created will be open works, which can be transformed, built on and reactivated and thus define and redefine the local environment over time.
